Annual exchange and education project in Rwanda
Since 2013, we have conducted an annual exchange and educational project in Rwanda with young painters and apprentices. Our initiative is highly respected in politics and business. The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) has awarded us the distinction of "particularly innovative vocational training program for young people."
In 2019, we were able to launch a cross-sector project for the first time. We wanted to build on this in 2021. The goal was to fly to Rwanda with 121 young European craftspeople and apprentices from a wide range of fields to volunteer on eleven social projects. Together with Rwandan vocational school students, we planned to carry out repair and renovation work on social facilities. Unfortunately, these travel plans could not be realized due to the coronavirus pandemic. Two years later, in 2023, we were finally able to make another trip a reality (see the report "Rwanda Trip 2023") and were also able to implement our project on-site in Rwanda last year.
Education project Rwanda

We share skilled handcraft!
The project offers a unique opportunity to engage in temporary professional and social activities in Africa and to experience the multifaceted Rwandan culture in a unique way. The focus is on encounters, exchange, and collaboration in small-scale social craft projects.
You'll travel to a beautiful African country, meet interesting people, get to contribute and test your skills in meaningful ways, develop your social skills, broaden your worldview, and gain unforgettable professional and personal experiences. You'll escape the daily grind and help improve the lives of others.
The project will shape you personally and serve as a great reference on your resume. Working abroad is a dream for many.

Doing good together: We are convinced that social engagement has a positive impact on the image of the skilled trades industry as a whole. It will motivate young people in Europe and Rwanda to choose a skilled trades apprenticeship. With this project for social education in Rwanda and Europe, we are building bridges and overcoming borders, combating racism, and enhancing the image of skilled trades. Today's apprentices will be tomorrow's masters!
